You’ve spent ages picking out the right card for your dad, stepdad or father in law, one which perfectly balances your wit with your love for them. But now it’s time to choose a present!
Trying to think of something original and meaningful each year can be challenging. You want to get them something they’ll love that shows just how much they mean to you.
Luckily, there are lots of goodies in our shop that your dad will love this Father’s Day, and we’ve pulled together a few ideas to inspire you below.
Treat them to a cuppa
If your dad loves nothing more than a natter over a cup of tea or coffee, then why not treat him to a new mug? You could even accompany this with his favourite tea bags, ground coffee or whatever it is he likes.
You could opt for a novelty mug, something personalised or a beautifully hand-decorated piece that is truly original.
Keep them busy in the kitchen
Does your father (or father figure) love nothing more than getting stuck into the cooking? Or perhaps they are more of a barbecue kind of guy?
Either way, this opens you up to a whole range of wonderful gift ideas. You could grab them the latest celebrity cookbook or perhaps some barbecue accessories. From tongs to wood chips, you can be as creative as you like.
Or, for something more personal, you could get them a beautiful carved and personalised chopping board, be that a cheese board, breadboard or something for the barbecue.
Give something back to the professionals (or those that just love stationery)
Whether your dad works from home or spends his days in the office, it’s always nice to have professional stationery sets and organisers to keep us productive.
And even if your dad is retired, who doesn’t love a beautiful bit of stationery anyway? From journals to carefully carved wooden pens, whether they are doodling or jotting notes, it is always handy to have stationery nearby.
Buy them a drink
You can’t go wrong with your dad’s favourite tipple, be that whiskey, beer, ale, wine or anything else for that matter.
As it’s a special occasion, why not avoid the usual supermarket brands (unless that is their absolute favourite, of course), and opt for something local or artisan instead.
You could even go all out and get them a hamper featuring their favourite drink, plus some snacks to go with it.
Pamper your papa
Everyone loves being pampered every now and then - even dads! Even if they don’t always want to admit it. So this Father’s Day, give them the gift of self-care and help them to kick back and relax.
Hand scrubs are always handy for the manual workers in your life, or if they love a bath, then treat them to a scented candle to help them unwind.
Of course, their favourite aftershave is always a classic gift, especially if you’re taking them out to dinner or somewhere special to celebrate.
Bring some colour to their life
If your dad spends a lot of time in his office, workshop, shed or man cave, consider buying him a print to add some colour to his walls.
There are so many beautiful prints available in our shop you can choose something that reflects who he is or the things he loves. This will not only add a bit of decor to their space, but it will be a nice reminder of how much you love them every time they look at it.
Our Richard Croft Original “Papas Boys” framed piece could be the perfect gift. Visit our shop to view it for yourself.
Choose the perfect subscription service
Finally, for a gift that keeps on giving, sign your dad up for a monthly subscription service. These have sky-rocketed in popularity in recent years, and you can get pretty much anything your heart desires delivered to your door each month.
Some of the most popular ideas your dad might like include industry/hobby magazines, wine, chocolate, cheese, books and wellness boxes. All of these make great gifts on their own, so now imagine receiving this gift every month for a year (or your selected time period)!
